Honor our heritage.
Help shape our future.

Iran’s future calls for participation, imagination, and shared responsibility. The Nationalist Women’s Association of Iran brings these commitments together through advocacy, education, culture, and remembrance.

Our purpose is to strengthen women’s meaningful role in public life and connect people who want to contribute to Iran and Iranian communities.

Independent Women-Led Nonpartisan Rooted in Human Dignity

Where purpose becomes participation

Many ways to contribute. One shared responsibility.

Our Constitution and Bylaws define a broad mandate: to advance political, social, cultural, educational, memorial, humanitarian, and civic participation. These six areas guide the programs and collaborations we seek to develop.

Women’s Leadership

Strengthening women’s participation in civic, professional, cultural, and community affairs. Our aim is to create space for women to contribute their experience, take responsibility, and help shape decisions that affect our shared future.

Advocacy & Civic Participation

Advancing freedom, human dignity, equality before the law, and democratic participation through peaceful, lawful public engagement. Our mandate includes discussions and public-awareness initiatives grounded in our founding principles.

Culture & Heritage

Preserving and sharing Iran’s history, languages, arts, symbols, and civilizational heritage. Cultural gatherings and exhibitions offer ways to connect generations and introduce Iran’s richness to wider communities.

Education & Research

Creating opportunities to learn, question, and exchange ideas. Our mandate supports workshops, seminars, conferences, research, and publications that deepen understanding and encourage informed participation.

Remembrance & Historical Documentation

Honoring the Javidnaman, political prisoners, and victims of human rights violations. Through remembrance and historical preservation, we seek to keep their names, experiences, and contributions present for future generations.

Community & Cooperation

Building connections among Iranian women and supporters in Alberta, across Canada, and internationally. Shared projects and volunteer participation can bring different skills and perspectives together in service of our mission.

Memory carries a responsibility

Their names belong
to our future, too.

The Javidnaman, the Everlasting Names, hold an enduring place in Iran’s collective memory.

Our Constitution makes remembrance a central part of our purpose. It provides for initiatives that honor lives, preserve testimony, and help future generations understand Iran’s contemporary history.

The possibilities outlined here are part of our mandate. Individual projects require planning, approval, resources, and any necessary permissions.

Ways to preserve memory

  • Gather and commemorate Memorial ceremonies and commemorative programs that bring people together in remembrance.
  • Record and preserve Oral histories, interviews, photographs, films, publications, and historical archives.
  • Create lasting places of remembrance Memorial trees, benches, plaques, gardens, and named spaces.
  • Share stories across generations Exhibitions, historical displays, and digital memorials that make memory accessible.

The foundation of our work

Four principles. A clear direction.

Our programs are guided by the Four Fundamental Principles established in our Constitution and Bylaws.

Identity & Independence

Preserving Iran’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence, national unity, and historical identity.

Liberty, Dignity & Equality

Upholding fundamental freedoms, equal opportunity, equality before the law, and women’s equal participation in public life.

Secular Democracy & the Rule of Law

Supporting constitutional government, the separation of religion and the state, judicial independence, human rights, and free and fair elections.

National Self-Determination

Affirming the Iranian people’s right to choose their political future through a free, fair, transparent, and democratic process, including constitutional monarchy or another democratic form of government.
